Swifterbant- Op dinsdagavond 2 juni houdt Muziekvereniging Amor Musae haar jaarlijkse donateursactie. Ieder jaar wordt een andere wijk aangedaan en deze keer is de wijk “Bloemenbuurt” aan de beurt. Dit zijn de straten tussen Hertenkamplaan, Lange Streek, Boterbloemweide en Tijgerbloem/Dahliastraat. De malletband en twirlsters lopen een rondje door de wijk en de leden van de brassband komen huis aan huis vragen of men donateur wil worden. Op het plein van de Sterhyacint speelt JAM (Jeugdorkest Amor Musae) een paar vrolijke wijsjes.
Amor Musae is al 47 jaar de muziekvereniging in Swifterbant en bestaat momenteel uit ongeveer 80 leden. De vereniging heeft drie afdelingen: de brassband, de malletband en de twirlsters. Bij de evenementen in het dorp is de vereniging meestal van de partij. Denk hierbij aan Koningsdag, avondvierdaagse, dodenherdenking enz. Zowel de brassband als de malletband treden ook op als concertband. De twirlsters doen veel meer dan lopen in de optocht. Bij landelijke wedstrijden haalden ze vele prijzen binnen.
Amor Musae hoopt veel nieuwe donateurs te kunnen verwelkomen. Sinds het wegvallen van subsidies zijn de giften van de donateurs heel belangrijk voor het in stand houden van de vereniging. De actie duurt van 18.45 tot 20.00 uur en is goedgekeurd door gemeente Dronten.
